Wanganella sheep are renowned for their ability to produce heavy cutting, long stapled, bright white, soft handling fleeces from large, fertile frames. The famous Wanganella Stud celebrated its 150 year anniversary in 2011. The sheep have been bred to survive and prosper on the treeless old man Riverina Plain. The constitution and conformation of the Wanganella sheep enables them to survive and prosper in most areas of Australia.
